Common questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. SO+ runs in your browser on a phone or computer. You need an internet connection, because the Excel and PDF files are made on the SO+ server.
How do I get an account?
Tap Sign up and enter your email, a password, name, designation, mobile, district and taluka. New accounts are approved by the SO+ admin before first use.
Which SOR does SO+ use?
The files use R&B SOR and GWSSB SOR rates, including 1% labour cess. Each item in the Excel shows its SOR reference, so you can check it.
Can I change a rate or quantity?
Yes, in the downloaded Excel file. Change the value and the totals update. Rates cannot be edited inside the app yet.
Is the estimate ready to submit as-is?
Treat it as a strong first draft. The engineer who signs the estimate must check it against the current SOR and office requirements. Acceptance is decided by your office.
Is SO+ an official government app?
No. SO+ is an independent tool made to help Taluka Panchayat engineers. It is not made or endorsed by the Government of Gujarat.
